What Are You Looking At?
The fulfillment of a vague pipe dream I've had since realizing such things as online publications were possible. I wasn't sufficiently motivated until the co-creator of Uppagus reached the "computer geek" stage of his development. Now we have this joint project. And a place to share the 21st-century equivalent of mix tapes. At least, that's how I think of it.
This first edition of Uppagus runs the gamut of subjects and moods. Dysfunctional families, fickle young love, a world in which ketchup is sacred. We've even got Satan's suicide note. Could be he was more of a mustard and relish guy.
For the next issue, we plan to expand beyond poetry and flash fiction. We'll also branch out into additional venues. More details forthcoming as we work them out. (If you're on our mailing list, you'll be the first to hear.)
In the meantime, enjoy! We continue to accept submissions.
