The Interaction

Pausing in front of a beautiful Siamese cat sitting in front
of a window, I say, "Hello there kitty, how are you doing?"

"I'm not doing nearly as well as you!” it answers. "I'm strictly
a house cat who sees the same things day after day with the exception
of different people passing by, most of whom don't even know I exist.
You are so lucky to be able to walk around and explore the world."

"I perfectly understand!" I respond. "But my life isn't as enviable
as you think. I have plenty of problems and limitations you don’t have—
personal stuff I don't want to get into at the moment."

With that I say, "Take care!"" and head on my way.
