Relax into this, you
have to choose

this fledgling voice
sounded out of the down.

Sparrow is better
than your panicky wage

reporting, your stymied
smartphone. This momentary

reprieve from baby is
smarter than toll-free phone

calls. Call me eternal:
ageless, or age-free.

I know how hard it is to steer
your mind against

the bluster of I-70,
but hold tight your hand

and you may arrive
at the emergency

room at midnight, the ultimate
surprise of one word

following another.
