Platinum Blonde
Emerging from the October fog
like a platinum blonde.
A transformation from rational human being into an object of desire.
You are with me in this circle of fire,
seduced as we are by the autumn's shifting air,
inside the wild and mild atmosphere
of summer warmth turned violent fall,
of leaves understood only as sexual undertones,
read through the palmistry of a chlorophyll cell.
Romanian-born Irina Moga is member of The Writers’ Union of Canada and the author of several poetry collections.
