Middle School Library
computer hard drives buzz
like a far off
swarm of flies
she whispers—bitch
through teeth white
as crisp, new paper
the bell is about to ring
she whispers—slut
smile wide enough to
crack her face
she whispers—whore
her painted skin
smooth as a stone
my lungs swell—expel
air—and shrink back to breathless
as her straight back and swiveling
hips carry her away
