10 Years Upp, Fewer Than Infinity to Go

In July 2013, a somewhat younger Upp Sr. and a drastically younger Upp Jr. launched the first issue of this zine. Close enough to exactly 10 years ago. Lots can (and did) change in a decade, so much so that you have to assume what didn't change must have stayed the same because we like it that way. Your mileage may vary, but this is the case with Uppagus.

Still, I'm happy to report that we continually bathe in novelty. Several months ago, a case of especially novel novelty arrived in the form of a conversation with my friend Edward Murray. Please check out his interview with Terry Borton of the American Magic Lantern Theater and his own rendition of the magic lantern art form.

Thank you all—submitters, readers, all-around supporters—for keeping Uppagus fun, which is what keeps it going.

See you in the next issue!
